An overpainted model exclaims, "Cougar," as the chorus sings, "the meanest, most masculine road animal yet." Are you man enough?” Despite this cringe-worthy advert, no one could deny that the Cougar was a beautiful and unique car.

4. Mountain lion logos were similar to Jaguar logos, creating a thorny problem. As a result, Jag successfully sued Ford and forced Ford to add the Cougar name below the mountain lion logo to avoid confusion.
